Speaking if which, I set up a graveyard of sorts but I'm kinda confused about how it works. So I need to add coffin making to the labor order and always have a supply on hand. It's actually refreshing to have it more realistic in where you can't please all off the people all of the time. It's just a hard habit to break after hundreds of hours of playing other games, all of which seem to expect to to make everyone happy. You can't actually please everybody, much like in life.Įxactly. Some dwarves are just ornery, some dwarves are spies for gangs, some dwarves are secretly evil, etc. The thing about cities is that happiness comes after hard work, without hard work the city does not function. Where Dwarf Fortress is suppossed to simulate an entire dwarvern metropolis full of folks. The only ones I treat as my actual characters are the special nobility. I have 150 Dwarfs now and there is no way I can even attempt to fulfill every one of their desires, so I just ignore it now. In that game I spent a lot of time trying to make sure every pawn was as happy as possible. For instance I've played a lot of Rimworld. I guess I just need to abandon my previous thoughts on how these games work. Dwarfs get bad thoughts killing fellow bearded ones. :) I like the sending them to anger management camp. You should expel or send those angry dwarfs to other settlements before they snap. They eventually snap and militia kills them and problem solved! So I just ignore them (I have like 60 dwarfs now). I check their thoughts/details and still can't figure it out. wouldn't it have been simple to just say in the alert that she wants 3 large cut gems? I'll get the alert saying she has made a proclamation but to actually see what she wants I found it by going to the assignment screen and hovering over the icon next to the mayor. Another recent example for me is mayor proclamations and build requests. For instance there is no easy way I can find to even see any rooms value. Surprisingly enough the game is actually lacking a lot of feedback. It probably would have been better to have it there but grey'd out in some way, and just a message saying needs 2000 room value. The option is completely hidden until the room reaches 2000 value. I haven't upgraded my room enough to test this out so I may be wrong. You can see the amount needed to get to the next tier in the location menu for the temple. Originally posted by Vlood:I think you need to increase the value of the room to get a priest available.
